Sandwell Aquatics Centre will not only play host to the swimming and diving events for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games but will also offer a long-lasting legacy for the businesses and residents of Sandwell, The Black Country and the wider West Midlands.
Further to the delivery of the Sandwell Aquatics Centre, the benefits that can be gained for the borough from an international event being hosted in the region are substantial and not just limited to sport and physical activity.
The event will provide attendees with an opportunity to hear first-hand from the contractor, Wates, who will give an update on the progress of construction along with an update from Sandwell Council’s SAC Project Team regarding the Social Value impact, legacy and future plans for the development and the surrounding area.
